Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps

With the 75th events now being organized for Memorial Weekend and August, 2009, we are trying to reach out to as many for Garfield Cadet members who marched during the 1969-72 years specifically and would appreciate it if everyone could contact those former members that they are still in contact with or knows where a former member may reside.
One of the events for the Memorial Weekend will be to honor the Original Girl Guard and all other female guard members that followed with a special luncheon in their honor. Names, email addresses, phone numbers or home addresses are needed so that we can contact everyone and inform them of the great events that are being scheduled.

We have a great time visiting with each other and even if you have stayed away since then, within five minutes of seeing everyone you will feel as if you never left.
Please help us make this a great success.
If you go to the HolyName Cadets website and go to photos-As we are, you will see a group of us at the DCI's in Indianapolis this year having a blast. And, as usual, Hughie Mahon is right in the middle of us all ! :)

Hello, I marched in 84' Garfield Cadets. I was a Sop. Well, I just wanted to let you know that I may have something for one of your events. You can send me an email at JHDesigns86@yahoo.com. or thru my page on the Cadets. Hope to chat with you. C U - John Hill 84' Garfield Cadets

Cindi and Margee....I marched from 70-72...cymbals, triples, and then baritone. In the fall I see Dave Tintle if/when he judges the band I work with (wind and percussion arranger). I also see Judy Ulchinsky...saw her last at USSBA Nationals in Annapolis last fall...have you been in contact with either of them? I would guess the two of them might be reachable through YEA!, since they are USSBA judges. Mike Davis, 70-72

Hi Mike
thanks for the info.
It would be great to see Dave again and Judy.
We do not have access to current contact info for Cadet Members which is making things a bit difficult.
We are hoping that when the announcement goes out in the mail (which is way overdue), others will contact us.
Please let them both know that we need their contact info, especially Judy since the original girls are being honored. We already have Dee Kulbuz on board.
Any help would be appreciated and if you forward me your personal contact info to
mgearhart @sbhcs.com we can start creating our own updated directory.

Hello Margee and Cindi. I was a member of the color guard during this time. My name back then was Pat Heinz. Boy was that a long time ago. I remember those years as great fun and remember both of you well. I have often wondered how everyone is doing so it is great to see you both are still such great fans.

I live in Berkeley, California now, so I won't be able to attend any of the anniversary events. I have been following the Cadets the last few years and am so pleased with the success they are having. Who else are you in touch with?

Pat

We have a blast and go away to the DCI's.
You really should try to think about coming for a visit. I just found out that your brother Ray, lives in the same town as I do, Denville !!!

Hello Margee, Cindi and everyone else. I marched from 1969 through and including 1975 (except for 1973). I was kind of quiet those earlier years so I do not know who may or may not remember me. Am hoping to be at the AUG 2 show with my wife and oldest daughter so maybe see you all then. Take Care all.
