How many of you remember the drummer & Syracause House? Many stories there... Dose anyone have any pictures from those nights that are hard to remember :)
Yepper...HoJo's ....I remember it well....smoky room, tub full of "stuff", people everywhere....falling asleep on the 6th floor and waking up on the 4th floor...no memory of what happened in between...good thing...lol
I remember on one occasion while everyone was having a good time, food became scarse and there were some really hungry people, so me, Joe "Shawow", and a few others took a trip to the local Pathmark grocery store to get some cold cuts, chips, dip, sodas, and ice to bring back to the "gathering place"....the next morning, there were slices of cheese, bologna, and ham stuck to the ceiling, lamp shade, and closet door....ahhh the many uses of lunch meat :)
My attorney has informed me that I know nothing about this alleged hotel near the alleged Lincoln Tunnel during one alleged night prior to an alleged rehearsal at the alleged Roosevelt Stadium. Furthermore, since the stadium in question no longer exists, it can be reasonably inferred that the alleged events did not exist either.
Hmmm....I guess I better follow suit and state for the record that I too wish to recant my testimony and conclude with 'I don't recall or recollect' any such hypethetical events and or activities believed to have occurred near or around a possible fictitious stadium within the confines or within the vicinity some perceived hotel establishment possibly occupying space located in close proximity to a well-named presidential tunnel....lol
...although there may be photos to discredit my account of alleged events/activities...LOL.
Of course when the Syracuse House wasn't readily available, I do remember a bunch of us leaving practice (Roosevelt Stadium in Bayonne, NJ) to spend a strange and rainy night stay at a flee bag joint called the York Motel in Secaucus, NJ...lol... ..it made the drummer's house seem like the Ritz Carlton :)
I am in total shock!!!!!! Although I was not a resident but a frequent visitor I must say at my dissmay that nobody in all of this dialogue about the drummers house has refered to the most appropriate thing about the house, and that is its infamous acronym the "F_oundation for U_nwanted C_orp K_ids" Yes the F@#% House!!!!!
Scott (bass drum) and Bill (the child snare) from Ohio, In the Dave and Pete executive suite. Lets see, I realize I'm coming late conversation, but here is what I remember:
Getting up before noon was a good way to get thrown out.
Ed McCauley wanted to stay there but George would'nt let him.
Dale Ladner out on the roof preaching the gospel.
whipits.
Dale Ladner and I almost getting arrested because I got mouthy with a Teaneck police officer.
Adriane Adamo laughing at me as I was throwing up in the front yard.
FANG!!!!
Dale Ladner's mysterious black bag.
Raman noodles.
Merle singing "Venus goddess of love that you are"
Joe Natell's fully stocked bar that he always traveled with.
"The Ho Bus"
Ted's Nova.
Doc Santo giving us a Butt chewing after he an Manny went to inspect the place one day while we were in
rehersal.
The destruction that took place the day we left for 2nd tour.
And last but not least, The drum line's impression of Sue Urban saying "George, I'm going to the drummers house. Your d--k is too small."
I lived in the drum house. I was in the room to the right as you walked in the front door. I drank my first Rolling Rock there. I was so in love with the twins ( almost everyone was) It was my first time hearing Rush (tom sawyer). I remember the house being trashed at the end. I remember laughing a lot in that house.
