Jaime thanks for posting...amazing how that song transformed...I remember everyone hearing how hard our book was at the beginning of the season...I also remember when Mark Sylvester asked us if anyone was worried that we didn't have an ending to the show...really close to finals time...
No doubt it was a great year, one of the best, although, every year has its amazing moments and memories for each member.
In 1989, I walked a little taller and rolled my toes just that much higher, because I knew(as we all did), that we were a part of something very special. It was a combination of everything, the members, the staff, the show, the tour, and the fans.
How about the fan who yelled "2,4,6,0,1" in Allentown. That was so motivating.
I have a pretty poor memory, but it is always amazing to me how I can remember the summer of 1989 so vividly.
Marching out of the tunnel onto the field for finals is always an electic feeling, but in 1989, it was truly a "lump in the throat" moment. The singing of "do you hear the people sing" was the perfect cherry on top to end a great year. I remember Scott Wilkie and I being asked for our autographs from a couple of Div III corps members, they could not have been more than 11 or 12. What a thrill it must have been for them, little did they know the thrill was all ours! The bus! I love and cherish my bus memories. Boozer! The cymbals always had a good time, we even had fun while doing our push ups. A great year!
