Went on tour with the Cadets from 1985 - 1991 while my parents worked on the food truck! Then marched in the Cadets Pit in 1992 and was in Holybass 1996 and 1997.

Yea, I don't think he needs to be in the pit. The pit is easily the strongest part of our band, at least with him there. I think he needs to overlook the whole percussion section. He still plays sax, which is why im confused he is a pit instructor... but oh well. Our brass and woodwinds are managed pretty nicely as is right now...
I don't know if you were made aware, but Red Lion started competing in Cavalcade of Bands eight years ago, and this past year we took first place for the first time. Just to give you an idea of where the band has gone since you graduated. Sure not world championships, but its a start!
You mean when they were actual members? I could seeing Keiser being in the band back then, but Crone and spurley are only a few years apart. Spurley has got to be the best musical instructor i've ever met. He is really great. I dont know if thats how he was for you, but hes like that now.
And i've been told that there were 2 percussionists to hit DCI from Red Lion, but none from the brass section. I don't know of any others.
As for rehearsals, we start a bit later. Percussion begins in april with auditions. Then, the rest of the band begins in mid to late may, after the percussion placement has been decided. Crone takes awhile to chose the show, but he always picks some pretty cool music.
What is your email address? I can't seem to find it on this site.
Haha you worked with Tyler? Thats who instructed our drumline for the past two years. So you were probably under the direction of Mr. Curtis Crone?
I might give you a call sometime closer to next season. I decided not to audition for the pit opening this year. Could I contact you at your email address?
