Bill,
You seemed to have aged a bit from 1974?? I have very fond memories of those years although we were not very competitive. Hope to see you around the summer this year.
Welllll, Bill Gaeckle. When my Dad hears I sent this he'll bust a gut laughing. So, you met up w/ Bubbada-bubbada-Bob Peterson and Jimmy D on a cruise. How cool is that? I still remember that a couple of times in the '70's you arranged to have USMC musicians play at a couple of Winter Guard shows. Do you get to go to the Punkin' Chunkin' contests? If you haven't, they're a scream! This Ning-thing is a very cool addition to our HNCC community. God bless and I hope you are well. Please find me or my Dad at a thing this Summer.
I tried to hook up with your son at Davis and Main in Richmond a few years ago but they said that he no longer worked there. I regret not coming to the Cadets one year earlier to play in your line in 76. I am teaching again at UVA and loving it.
Hi Bill, Not sure if you remember me. I am best remembered to the drumline as FROG. I have read some of your posts and comments and have a question or two for you. You had posted that you see Terry Hoffnagle. I was wondering if you knew how to contact him. Dave Rice and I are trying to track him down. We are also looking for Vince Frega and Lou Reda. I am getting involved with the Alumni and searching for drummers to join. That is the other reason I am posting.... Are you planning on joining the Alumni Corp? I understand they have only a few drummers so I am going to all I can find from our era trying to get them to come on board. I am looking forward to reconnecting. So glad to have found you again! Keep in touch!!
Your brother,
FROG

Not sure if you’ll remember but we marched for a number of years together in the Little Falls Cadets. I played bass drum when you were there. I eventually followed you over to Garfield in 1968, but missed you as you had joined the USMC; though I did get to march with Mike that year. I marched ’68 and ’69 for Garfield playing rudimental bass.
I just recently found this web-site and seeing some of posts and mentions of folks I marched with and have come to know over the years brings back a lot of great memories. Maybe one of these days I will get to see you at a Cadets’ event and be able to say hello in person!
Hi guys, how have you been? I've been busy, so most times I take a quick look on the site and that's it. I'm doing good, family is fine, getting ready to send my daughter off to college. I haven't been involved in about 10 years now, just a show now and then. Hope to see everyone next year though, are you coming up for the 75th events? Take care, chat with you soon.
Good to hear from you. I'm still in the NY/NJ area (New City, NY), playing with the Skyliner Alumni Corps (w/Jimmy D'Amico and other Cadet Alums), and a local community band (Ramsey Wind Symphony - 45 members). My two girls (22 and 18) are home for part of the summer, Katelyn (my youngest) is a Sophmore at the Univ of Delaware.
Looking forward to seeing you soon. Best regards.

We'd never met, I came in behind you, in '69, the year females wore the uniform for the 1st time. I remember Steve Chirichella speaking of you as if you were a god ! If you check my page you'll see a great shot of USMCD&BC
we just missed .. I marched 1952-61 (soprano); left when I headed to college. Prior to 07 I hadn't seen the Cadets "live" since 64 .. sounds like you were the the drum line then. Send Bill Ridings any names/info you have; he's working with Ken Samara on the 60s. Have always loved the MCDBC .. saw them in Annapolis last year. MY KIND of drum corps! FHNSAB... Bill
