Joined the Holy Name Cadets in 1952 and marched until 1961. Played in the soprano brass section (started when the horns WERE brass!) finishing as a soloist and Soprano Section Sergeant. I also served as Captain of the Competing Color Guard. I served as Co-chairman for the 50th Anniversary Celebration held in Atlantic City in 2007.

Bill -
I'm finally getting around to starting to scan my photos in from 77-79... Take a look to see how well we held up your legacy...Hope to see you before the summer's over. We'll be going to Westchester & then both nights of Allentown. Take care,
Caren
I do need some info, like what it would require time wise. I am searching for alumni everyday and am waiting till the conference call to find out exactly what we are doing with all of the info we find. I have two little girls, a full time job as a salesman where I'm on the road all day, and i teach a high school drumline, so I don't want to spread myself to thin. Give me some details and we'll see what happens.
Bill...I used to follow the Cadets back in 1962-62. My dad brought us to Garfield HS to watch them practice when I was a rookie for the cadets..we just loved the Corps and their history. WE remember the Drummers Ridings,Koch,Sands....horn players Mura, Chick and many more-I am sure I met John Ganguzza way back then. Westdyk got me to march in Little Falls cadets for experience and then I went back to Garfield in 1965 to play snare. Enjoyed seasons of 65-66-67 and then joined the Marines. Played 4 years in DC and then moved back to NJ where I taught the drum line in 72,74,75,76...Met a lot of great people and have a lot of respect for the Corps...past and present.
I only have a few names of former Cadets since I have lost touch (moved out of NJ in 1979) Will be glad to get these names to the right people...FHNSAB Bill
my schedule may not allow me to make some events but I would be glad to help in some small way. I am also involved with the Marine Corps Drum & Bugle Corps (which are also cebrating their 75th Anniversary in 2009) Hopefully events do not overlap.
Say hello to Bill Wesdyk for me - I am hoping to make the 27th of April Alumni event in Springfield PA...maybe I will run into you there.

I located Marilyn Hammer (previously on the '83 MIA list) for you a few weeks ago. Does that count?

I'm proud to be included on your friends list, and very grateful for all that you have done and all that you are doing for our Cadets.
