About Me:

Drum Corps Career, Bergenfield Ravens/Dumont Police Cadets 55-58, Garfield Cadets 62-63, Blessed Sacrament, 64-65, Skyliners 68, Garfield Cadet Staff 73, Sunrisers Drum Instructor 76, 77, Drum Major 76, Cavaliers Drum Instructor 79, Les Troubador & Les Clique Alouette Program Coordinator, 80-81, Troopers Drum Staff 83-84.

My brother and I joined the corps in the end of summer 1962 and was with the corps until the winter of 1964. I returned to the corps as a drum instructor during the 1973 season with Fred Sanford and Bobby Hoffman. I have been on the percussion staffs of several corps including the Sunrisers, Cavaliers, and Troopers. I presently own a music school in Spring, Texas and since shortly after 9/11 have been serving with the Civil Air Patrol flying missions for homeland security and Fema disaster relief.

I still work with Scott's high school band and they will be performing at that competition. I will try and find you. Scott is trying to come down. They don't have a football game they have to attend but he is in an ensemble that is going to PASIC so he is not sure he is clear on that front yet. I really miss the corps. Scott is marking the days he gets to be back with his Cadets!!! His jacket was shipped to our house this weekend and I really expect to see his truck pull up in the driveway any minute to get it. It was a very special year for them and I am thankful that it included such a close relationship with the alumni. He cannot stop talking about the Cadets and is counting the days until November camp. You have a very special family...my husband commented that he has never even felt that happy and at ease in the company of his own family! They have retired and are doing well. They moved to California a few years back and seem to like it ok.
