Marched with the Cadets (saprano/mellephone) from 1963 to 1973 and had many great moments with some of the nicest people you ever want to meet.
Worked for the pharmacutical company Hoffmann LaRoche for 28 years and now working for Sanofi Pasteur producing Flu Vaccine for the past 3 years.
Been married to my wonderful wife for 30 years and have three fantastic children, Kim 28, Craig 23, and Joe 18.
Kim is married and had my first grandson (Nick) 14 months ago. Craig is almost completed with his training to be a certified comercial pilot and
Joe is having a pretty good football career in highschool and has been looked at by many colleges.
Sorry we didn't get a chance to chat on Thursday. You were having too good a time and I ididn't want to interrupt. Anyway, glad you made it. Welcome home to Cadetland.
I remember you well. Some of your photos here on your site just blew my mind. I have a couple of favors to ask. First, if you want to discuss any of this you can contact me at dshaw40@gmail.com. I'd like to have your email address to put you on the mailing list for news updates and announcements on www.theholynamecadets.org.
Now, the favors: There's a bunch of stuff you have posted that I would like to use on www.theholynamecadets.org (Cadets' history website, in case you're not familiar with it.
1.The West Point letter to be reproduced on our history page. We would need a clear photo copy, or if you were willing to loan us the original with an guarantee of return.
2. The newspaper article of the Cadets admitting girls. Same as above, a clear photocopy or loan of the original.
3. The 1972 itinerary for DCI Whitewater tour, Same as above, a clear photocopy or loan of the original.
3. Permission to use the photos of: Bob Knapp as DM (to be posted on our DM page in our history section, the photo of you playing taps (really a classic), the photo of you and your Dad standing in front of the truck with all the championship flags, the photo of the trophy case, the photo of the quartermasters in front of the truck, copy of your honorable discharge citation from the Cadets, and the copy of the program from The Chief's testimonial dinner. All these, I believe, could be captured right off your page by our webmaster, with the possible exceptions of the discharge citation, and the testimonial dinner program.
4. Most important of all: the two covers of Drum Corps Digest featuring the Cadets, plus the accompanying article. This would be a full page "Cadet History - 1965" article. Our webmaster tells me that for this to work he would definitely need to work from the originals.
If you send me an email I will give you my phone number so we can discuss whether you would be willing to share these items with us temporarily for historical purposes.
Most of us, I know, are reluctant to allow personal items like these out of our sight, but in this case I would assume personal responsibility for their guaranteed safe return. Thanks for your consideration.

Nice to hear from you.
I get my flu shot every year, they give them free here at the hospital.
Sounds like a very busy job. Where in PA is that? My sister linda lives in Pen Argyl, PA and has been there for years.
Thanks for the compliment on the family. They are great and lucky they made it to young adult years! :) My 2 grandsons are the greatest. They live in Florida so i don't get to see them as much. My son is in the Navy and is awaiting his orders for his transfer. He just spent 17 months in Afghanistan and that was hard.
Been at Saint Barnabas for 21 years. I coordinate the training of 19 physicians becoming pathologists. I have lived in Denville for the past 12 years and my youngest, 17, goes to Morris Knolls and is a senior. Did all the usual with school, sports, booster clubs, etc.
I go to 2 shows a year and occasionally Allentown with Linda. Go to the DCI's. We just went to Indianapolis this year and had the greatest time. Hughie comes every year and hangs with us. The best vacation ever. We are already planning our next years trip, as you do have to book early, especially with the show right next to the hotel now.
Did years of volunteering at the corp office and shows and now we just are spectators. We are working on the 75th Memorial Weekend Bash with Pych and the others. It will great, being held at the Crown Plaza I think on Rt 46 in Fairfield. A full weekend full of events.
Unlike you, I am just a bit older! :)
I still workout alot, i run 5x week and love it.
We go to the VFW meetings every couple of months, although with the 75th being worked on, perhaps more this winter.
