- I started as a Rookie Drummer in 1961 (at the age of 5), switched to soprano bugle in 1965, and in 1966, at the age of 10, I marched my first parade in a Cadet uniform, where we represented the State of New Jersey in the National Jaycees parade in Detroit Michigan.
- Marched my first year in field competition in 1967, at the age of 11, playing 1st Soprano; lead soprano from 1969 through the 1976; aged out in 1977 as Drum Major
- Co-authored two booklets on the corps history, one in 1976 while a member, one for the 50th Anniversary in 1984, and co-authored a Yearbook in 1976. Currently working on #3 History Book that will be available in June 2009.
- I am currently playing trumpet with the Ramsey Wind Symphony and Soprano bugle with the Skyliner Alumni Drum & Bugle Corps (though I never marched in competition with any other corps except the Cadets)
- My wife marched in the corps (1975-1977) (Lynn Eikenberg)
- I have 2 girls, but neither have had the ambition to march drum corps
- I've been in Medical Sales since 1982, and currently work as the Northeast Business Development Manager for Barco, Inc. (a Belgium-based company formed in 1934)

It is unfortunate that there are people who have done much for the corps and have been overlooked and that is going to change thanks to people like you...now can you just revel a little in your glory. :O) You really do deserve this.
Congratulations again Greg on being part of the Holy Name Cadet Hall of Fame Class of 2009! You very much deserve it! Lynn and the girls must be so proud of you.
Greg,
I hope you are doing well, I remember yourself and especially Kenny very well. I also had my brother Pete and sister Clare in the corps for several years. I have 2 boys and it is a little dissappointing that there is NO interest from the kids in drum corps. Hope to see you around this summer.
Is it still possible to get the 50th anniversary booklet? I marched in 1984. Look forward to hearing from you. John Hill - 1984 Sop. Garfield Cadets

i hope you remember me, i was one of the Woodsiders who came to Garfield in 1973 , you were always a spit and shine perfectionist who really looked great in uniform .........i live and work in South Carolina and work for the South carolina department of Corrections for over 13 years, i also worked in the Sheriff's Office as a deputy for 4 years, i have met many people who not only heard of the cadets they worshiped them. I was glad to be a part.martin gorski
