Yes, 287 Eastbound at the Brewster exit, seemed like forever when you and Lorraine went looking for a phone! Eileen and I stayed with the car, and while it was suspect - we never made out. I would have remembered that, and I don't damnit. All our shoelaces were tied together and tied to the windshield wipers - run through the rear windows and manually pulled in an alternating motion... in the ice storm of the century. You can't make this stuff up. "Heat break!!" The look on the toll collectors face on the NY Thruway was priceless. Those shoelaces were encrusted with an inch of ice when I got home.
