Garfield Cadets 1970-71...The dreaded tympani line.
Still in River Edge, married, 2 kids.
Left drum corps and never really looked back. Got involved in coaching and officiating sports and continue to officiate 4 sports on the high school level.
I must admit the information and pictures posted on the web are spectacular and bring back great memories.
I hope to attend an alumni function in the very near future.

Hi Joe,
Hope you and your wife can make it to the Alumni Xmas Bash on Dec. 5th, 7-11pm at the VFW in Garfield. DJ, catered food, and lots of time to catch up with your old friends!

Joe: A lot of your friends can't wait to see you again. If you can swing it try to make one of our monthly maroon-socials at the VFW Hall on Outwater Lane in Garfield. They're held the first Thursday of each month, 7-9 PM, beginning November 5th. For those who don't know Joe ... you should. He was a great Cadet.
Hello Joe
This is Tom Gallo
Almost didn't recognize you from this picture
Do you remember me and the rest of the snare line gang???
Man has life changed what we look like!
What have you been doing all these years?
Do you have any children?
I am as of this moment living in Phoenix AZ. I have been here for the past ten years. I have been married for almost 30 years and have two sons. both of which have graduated fro Arizona Atate Univerisity. I am considering a move back to NY. I have been offered a position there and maybe just maybe moving there sometime next year. After drum corps I attended college in Fla and NJ but founf that it wasn't challenging enough for me. I hung out with Louie Reda and some of the other gang for a long time before moving to Az. since then I have been out of touch. Maybe if I decide to move back east I will look those guys up and we can have a reunion of our own consisting of just line members. Man wouldn't that be a gas!!!
Anyway Joe good to you are in good health!!
Talk to you soon

Ahahahahahaha! Too funny! It will be fun to see you...we all have a great time remembering...it is amazing how quickly you can be transported back to our drumcorps days. See you soon.
Hi Joe, I remember when we were practicing in Poukippsee NY in the rain and you slipped on the wet grass with your drum strapped on and couldn't get up! Do you remember that? I marched 69-75, I played cymbals in 73...my sister is Gina.
Nice to see you on here.
I do remember you having a certain fondness for the rifles...... :)
I'm so happy you're going to come around. See you then! There are a lot of us that look forward to seeing you.
Hi Joe!
Don't know if you remember me either, as Sandy and Paul said. It's Cindi Carozza, rifle line, 69-73. Glad to hear you're doing well. It would be great to see you at an alumni meeting. You won't believe how quickly you can be transported back to the old days. Lots of wonderful memories. Hope to see you around.
