Band Librarian!
So, I am officially a band co-librarian! I am excited to be working with my other co-librarian and to also be working with my best friend who is now the drum major! Someone handed me a piece of music tonight and I was what do you want me to do with this.and she says" You're the librarian you're supposed to know what to do." It finally hit me that I got this position! I walked over to the 5 scary filing cabinets, didn't want to attempt opening them, saw the yellow carton filled with miscellaneous music, threw the two pieces in there and ran!:) I will get better at this. I am going to be a super awesome co-librarian. It will be a large amount of work, but it gives me another excuse to hang out in the band room:) My saga will continue...

Thanks for the kind words. Yes,I still play and teach. Your best bet is to find someone who will teach you a relaxed and natural approach to playing so you won't get hurt. In other words, if the grip feels uncomfortable, it may be wrong.
It can be tough to learn proper technique just out of a book. I'm. Not familiar enough with the books out there to tell you what is best.
Thanks,
Jeff
Thanks for the note. Cadets cymbal line started all the technique that you see today.
