Nice to hear from you.
Wow! You certainly have been busy in the music industry.Warren and I are doing great. We live in western New Jersey near the PA border about 25 miles east of Allentown. We have 3 boys Mike (17), Sean (15)and Evan (11). I am a middle school math teacher and Warren is a Systems Integrator for a power company in PA. Warren is an active marathon runner (I'm sure you're not surprised). He has run the NYC marathon twice, the Boston once, and serveral NJ marathons. We are also very active in our town's recreation department and our church. Warren is a cantor and I am a lector. We will be at the 75th anniversary celebration in August.Hope to see you then?

Hi Mike...had to think way back to remember who I marched with in my single year with the Cadets. All is well for me and it looks like the same for you. Have been to numerous Cadet performances throughout the years when they're in my area....that was certainly a year in my life I won't ever forget. Thanks for reaching out! Marv
I was in the Saint Louis Cathedral Choir in New Orleans for several years....singing the "Mass" in Latin was awesome...highlight was singing for the Pope at the New Orleans World's Fair...much later I started "Crawgator Entertainment" providing DJ/KJ services...have performed as "Roy Orbison' at different events...love his music...CD was recorded at Big Mama's Studio in Tenn...was done for fun...
How are you? yes I took off '83 to do my senior year in high school thing. I wound up marching senior corps and Bridgemen for the last days of the season. I had a good time. I see you you have a CD out are you a singer? Hope all is well with you!!!
Aiyee!! I got most of that - loosely translated: thank you very much, how's it going, good friend, (not sure about the middle part), crawfish, and let the good times roll! I only know a few "select" French words, if you know what I mean! Great to see you here, but please post some pics, if you have any. After 25 years, the memory starts mixing things up a bit!
Hey Mike,
Nice to hear from you. I still live in Cedar Grove, NJ with my husband and two daughters and for the past 7 years I have been a pre-school teacher. What a great story of how you came to march in the Garfield Cadets!!!! Many of us 1980 and 1981 Cadets are still "haunted by the fields of grass" as well! Will you be at any of the 75th Anniversary events this summer? It would be great to see you!
"haunted by fields of grass"...that is so eloquently put. It's great to see you here Mike. It was a pleasure performing with you during my two years. I remember you trying to play baritone with those braces...lol!!! It's been too many years since we last saw you. I hope you can make the trip for the celebration this year.
We honor you too Cadet...Dave Shaw, 50-58. Oh yeah, it doesn't sound as though your memories have faded away. You just stored them in a safe place...your heart. FHNSAB...
