Hey there, so good to see you and Lillian at the 75th Bash. You guys look the same, it's great. Hope you had a good time reconnecting with everyone. Stay in touch.
Holy.... (not Name) I didn't realize that the big screen movie thing was tonight! (Aug 6th) That seems so early. I considered going but my son's swim team banquet is tonight and frankly... after the 75th reunion weekend, there's nothing more I need to see. Obviously, I wish the 09 Cadets all the best, but what we all saw, heard and felt over last weekend speaks for itself. That's one impressive bunch of kids! I'm just so proud of them and so proud to have actually been ONE of them... albeit, long ago. All the alumni I spoke with felt the same way. Any further accomplishments could only confirm what we already know... and that's not really going to change. I'd like to offer my profoundest thanks to the 09 Corps. I can only say, that I know you'll be where I am someday and I wish you the same wonderful feeling!
Hi guys! I'm thinking that drum corps is at a point where it's more MoMA, Jackson Pollock and Picasso than Rockwell, DelCroix and the Louvre. I've been to MoMA and unfortunately it leaves me cold and to the Louvre and could stay there for a week. I haven't seen any shows this year (been in AK since 6/27) but last year I felt the same way. When standards are subjectively based on emotion rather than intellect, there are no standards except the expediency of the moment and the whim of the viewer.

Hi Mark!
I left Kodiak, AK on July 7, was in Dutch Harbor for 5 days and am now at the NE end of Bristol Bay on the Bering Sea. Should return to Dutch on Aug 8 and be home around the 10th. Hope to hook up with some folks in late August. Got my fingers crossed for tonight's show. Crown got a big score last night. Check out my logs at www.tas.noaa.gov . John
