I'll never forget those those car rides caravaning through the Bronx. "Look dear, why are all those kids drumming on their dashboards?" As my peers in High School mocked me for choosing to spend my weekends in Hackensack, I was experiencing meaningful change in my life. The Garfield Cadets taught me how to focus on a task and do it with excellence. My life today is directly impacted by my experiences with the Garfield Cadets. I also learned how to have a great deal of fun and not get arrested at the same time. The Cliffs, HoJo's in Saddlebrook, the Drum House, John Sherrys' basement, Bus 3, the kaBoom, Wildwood Crest, Sub Base/Pub. Enough said. Actually it's not.

Hey Joe Natale, we miss you.

Nowadays I live in Oak Park IL just outside Chicago.
I've been married since 2000 to the lovely Julie Piorkowski and have two great kids. Hugh is six, and Lia is four. I hope to one day see at least one of my kids in the activity. I work downtown Chicago as a post production audio engineer at studio specializing in original music for TV and radio commercials.

Breaking down on the way home, we walked 3 miles to the phone, while you were in the car making out with someone (?) and last but not least.....using shoe strings on your windshield wipers so we could get home. There are many other memories I have of you and your family going way back. Its nice to see that your doing well, and your family is beautiful. Lynn and Gail usually keep me a little informed, when I see them.......Let me know when you come to Connecticut, maybe we can all get together!
