I was in the very first girl guard in 1969--I remember being booed as we entered the field for the first time in Lodi. Today I am married to a former St. Lucy's Cadet (the old timers know that reference) and have been for almost forty years. We have three grown children and nine grandchildren. We have lived in Orange County New York for 30 years and are still there with no plans to go anywhere else. I am pleased that I played a small (very small) part in the Cadets' long history--and I'm looking forward to introducing my grandchildren to drum corps.
I'm sorry I don't know the answer to your questions. The alumni corps has a page (bar menu at top of any page on www.theholynamecadets.org) that lists the names and contact information on the alumni in charge of this program. I would suggest you contact George King because I know Pat Vazquez is out of the country on business.
Feb. 28th the Alumni Corps is performing at the VFW in Garfield. It's a stand still exhibition and Jim Messina will be conducting. It's a Saturday night. Would be great if you could make it. Trying to get a bunch of the Original Girls to come out and support our guys.
