I see the same ole gang at the guard shows (daughter marching with Shelton). And get to the Hurcs show most years. Funny I haven't seen ya, but then again, I don't really know who is still involved. Maybee I'll see ya in a couple of weeks.

some of us REALLLLLYYYYY STOOPPPPIIDDD ones never stopped. I still see Phil Vizzo and Bernie Maleski all the time - they are with Hurcs (duh!) - and while I have switched teams a few times - I'm with Cabs this year - mostly because gas prices made it more - advantageous to stay in NJ (Hawthorne is all of 10 minutes from me). you need to get yerself to a show, chicy! (West Haven is in a few weeks! hint hint) :-P
Wazooooooooooooooooo!!!! How the hell are you? I've been out of touch with everybody for sooooooooo long. While I was here in Connecticut everybody was still doing DRUM CORPS. I found this site and realized how much I missed out on, and how much I missed everybody!
Hey Rick. How's it going? I see your marching Cabs this year. So is my sister-in-law Marcie Murray. Her boyfriend Noel marched last year so she told him it was HIS turn to stay home with the kids this summer!
I hope to see you at a show sometime this summer.
Another counrty heard from. The grand wazoo! I guess it's been a few years since we've talked, I think we last spoke when you were on staff with the Bushwackers. Denise and I are still down here in Dallas, trying to make a living and raising two teen-aged boys. They're both brass players. Kevin,15, plays trumpet, baritone, guitar, bass, keyboards and drums. He did really well this year in both concert and marching high school band. After the initial torture of band camp, he leaned to march fairly quicky and carries himself well. Great field orientation and awareness of where he needs to be in a form. Conor, 13, plays baritone(which is comicial because he weighs about 40 pounds) and some drums. In addition to band, both boys play baseball. check out the pictures on my page to see what these little gangsters look like. I manage a restaurant a work a thousand hours a week. I still play as much as possible, knocking around with my horns and other goodies. This winter, the whole family checked out an all-ages corps here in Texas called Frontier. Since the whole family had marched or played before, I though it we be a great thing for the all of us to partisipate. We had a great time , but we could'nt fit it in with everything we had already commited to. I've been lucky to stay in touch with Mike deAngelis and Neal Boyke all these years. I talk to Neal about once a week. I was Mike's Best Man. I was in Neal's wedding and I am Nyla Boyke's Godfather. You got to send me an update and stop taking pictures of yourself when you're driving (did they teach you that in Long Island) . Send me an e-mail address so we can reminise, because most of the things we did are to indeed too graphic in nature to be discussed here. Ha
Glad to see you're still marching. I had a friend from HS (who I also marched with in my pre-Cadets days) who was w/ Hawthorne until 1-2 seasons ago. I don't believe he's marching, but it's Chris Fontanelle. He's playing baritone even though he grew up a trumpet player like me.
Are you still playing mello? Maybe when my son is older (ie: more independent) I can get back into playing. I don't play just for myself, but would love to perform again. That's what always made me happy.
Glad you're doing well. I'm at the Jersey Shore now, but that is subject to change.
